GoodMobility: A New Perspective on City Logistics: Concepts, Theory, and Models for Designing and Managing Logistics as a Service

[CORDIS profile] [ERIS profile]

The project on logistics developed by Dr. Yıldız proposes to design the future urban logistics systems and to develop the necessary theories, concepts, and models for the realization of these systems. GoodMobility, which defines urban logistics not as a business problem but as a social need, aims to realize new transportation technologies and business models that have not been considered before, in a way that will maximize social benefit, with public-private partnerships. The project aims to deliver products and services that will increase the innovation capacity and quality of life of cities to the residents in a much faster, more economical, and environmentally friendly manner.

``I am a network design and optimization specialist with more than ten years of experience in mathematical programming, operations research, location analysis, algorithm design, telecommunications, and transportation systems. My research focuses on developing innovative methodologies to solve large-scale optimization problems in various application areas ranging from infrastructure planning to city logistics to online fleet management to service network design to dynamic vehicle routing to location analysis.``
