Koç University’s Success in European Research Council (ERC) Grants

The European Research Council (ERC) is the “first pan-European funding body for frontier research” (established in 2007), and earned a solid reputation among the world’s prestigious scientific institutions.

Koç University, a leading Research University in Turkey and a center of excellence hosted 31 out of 52 ERC projects awarded to Turkish universities. Out of these 31 grants, 21 are on engineering topics (electrical and electronics, chemical and biological, computer, mechanical), 7 are on social sciences and humanities (sociology, history, economics), and 3 are in molecular biology and genetics.
