ENSURE: ENabling Self-Driving in Uncertain Real Environments

Dr. Güney‘s ENSURE action focuses on the challenge of achieving self-driving capabilities in real-world situations marked by uncertainty. The complexity of reasoning in such scenarios makes self-driving one of the most formidable research problems today. To ensure safe navigation, the autonomous driving system must possess the ability to anticipate the consequences of its actions. Currently, existing solutions are reactive in nature and lack planning for future occurrences.

Dr. Güney is interested in 3D computer vision and representation learning from video sequences. She previously worked on action recognition, motion estimation, depth estimation, and multi-view 3D reconstruction.
